Black Rep seeks talented teens

The North Carolina Black Repertory Company’s Teen Theatre Ensemble is beginning a new season by holding auditions.

On Saturday, Sept. 8, young people between the ages of 13 and 18 are invited to audition for the Ensemble, whose alumni include  Jimmie “JJ” Jeter, who is headed to Julliard School of Music this fall, and Jared Smith,  who is starting his freshman year at UNC School of the Arts.  The Teen Theatre Ensemble is under the direction of veteran Mabel Robinson.

Those who wish to audition must call 336-723-2266 to schedule a time. Those who audition will need to bring their own accompaniment (CD, cassette or pianist); a personal photograph or headshot (5 x 7 or 8 x 10); and a resume.
