Kids of Incarcerated parents get Early Xmas

The following was submitted by CJR Ministries Inc.

This year Santa came a little early for twenty children whose Fathers are incarcerated at the Low Security Prison in Butner, N.C..  On December 8th, CJR Ministries Inc. was able to answer the children’s prayers by presenting gift baskets and Teddy Bears to each child at the event in Butner Gazebo Park.  CJR Ministries Inc., founded by the husband and wife team of Minister Cornelius and Jeannetta Regan is a Non-Profit Organization founded in 2010.  Mr. Regan, an ordained ,inister, has been actively ministering since the year 2000.

Minister Regan has over one hundred members in the ministry and has the distinction of never having a member return to prison a direct reflection not only of how powerful a gift he possesses, but also the message that God sends through this wonderful man to his flock. This compares with a 67% recidivism rate throughout the Federal Prison System.  Mrs. Regan, along with the Ministry’s administrative assistant Sharmiece Patterson, put together the gift baskets which featured teddy bears kindly donated by Torita Byrd who formerly operated a teddy bear business.  The event was held at 3:30 PM in Butner Park where refreshments were served to the adults, and candy was eagerly gobbled up by the children.  Pictures were taken to memorialize the event and can be viewed on the Ministry’s website at WWW.CJRMINISTRIES.ORG.

Many other community events are in the planning stages, including, but not limited to children of incarcerated parents, but also for the community at large.  Several community outreach programs are available and others are being formed.  CJR Ministries Inc. invites everyone to go to the website and sign up enabling participation and notification of upcoming events and inviting membership to this exciting, new, ministry.  Minister Regan can be heard through the website and in the near future members will have additional access to sermons and Bible study with him.  Easter is being targeted for the next major CJR event, so please hurry and join the Ministry now.  All donations are needed and deeply appreciated, and are fully tax deductable.  CJR Ministries Inc. invites everyone to sign up and participate in this growing, new concept Ministry.  May God Bless and Keep You All.
