Younger golfer wins his division
Cameron Witherspoon finished on top after his first golf tournament. He won the eight-and-nine-year-olds division at a National Junior Golf Tour tournament played Saturday, April 20 and Sunday, April 21 at Bermuda Run Country Club. Cameron, the son of Ubet and Felisa Witherspoon, began playing the sport as a member of the Earnest Morris Junior Golf Academy in the summer of 2011 at Winston Lake Golf Course. He is also a member of First Tee of The Triad and receives private coaching. Cameron is a member of Goler Metropolitan AME Zion Church. He took part in the church’s charity golf tournament last September.
