Lewisville Branch Library, 6490 Shallowford Rd., has a busy August planned.
On Tuesday, Aug. 5 at 2 p.m., the Tuesdays at Two Book Club invites the public to discuss the book “Mrs. Poe” by Lynn Cullers.
A creative writing class will be offered on Wednesday, Aug. 13 at 1:30 p.m. If you have ever wanted to write a novel, your memoirs or your family history, the class will help you get started. The class will offer exercises to help attendees brainstorm. Those who come are asked to bring a notepad, a pen or a laptop. This class is for adults.
On Thursday, Aug. 14 from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., the library will host a “mini book sale.” Great book deals will be available, officials say.
Another creative writing event will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 27 at 1:30 p.m. Throughout the month, art by local artist Joshua Gwynn will be on display in the library’s Auditorium Gallery.
All events are Free and open to the public. Call 336-703-2940 for more information.
