Founder of Black family-owned nonprofit to give away $50,000 twice a month for 100 years
Tina Redmond, aka DJ Chic Chick, the founder of TRACC Radio, a Black-owned radio station app, continues to make history and change up the game. Earlier this year, Tina, who is from Inglewood, California, launched the app with a physical office located in Atlanta. Now she is back residing at home in Los Angeles and so is TRACC Radio.
Some say that laughter is the best medicine. With everything that has transpired over the last year and half, now is the best time to put that to the test. Noticing there was a need for smiles, Winston’s own, Brittany Ward, decided to start up the Vibez & Canvas Laugh Lounge.

On the cusp of its 40th year of service to the people and communities of Northwest North Carolina, Second Harvest Food Bank held a groundbreaking ceremony on the site of its future headquarters facility at Whitaker Park, in the heart of Winston-Salem.
After years of perfecting the craft and working at a few different shops, in 2019 Winston-Salem native Anthony Hamby took a leap of faith and opened his own barber shop. And today, just three years later, The Shave Cave Barber Lounge is arguably the best barbershop in the city.
In 2016 Winston-Salem native Quentin Jackson set out on a journey to create his own clothing line. Although the journey hasn’t been easy, today Q Jackson Apparel Company (QJAC) is a licensed apparel provider with partnerships with several HBCUs, and he says that it’s just the beginning.
Rico Henderson has never been one to follow the crowd, but instead has always marched to the beat of his own drum and his clothing line, C.I.O.R. (Chaos In Our Reign), is no different.
